Teaching
Jamie Erin Murphy is an established dance educator and teaching artist in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. Murphy has been teaching at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School sine 2008 where she is currently a full-time faculty member who teaches Modern, Jazz, Choreography, Dance for Parkinson’s and Adaptive Dance for Children on the Autism Spectrum. In the past she was on faculty at Youngstown State University, Ballet Western Reserve and Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) and has been a guest Master Teacher at Seton Hill University, Carnegie Melon University, Point Park University. Murphy has also been a Creative Artist under Attack Theatre at the Propel Charter Schools and Gateway to the Arts. She has also had the privilege of discussing her educational experiences as a guest lecturer at University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University and Carlow University.
