Much More Than Bones was Murphy and Smith's first collaborative work together beginning their journey as Murphy/Smith Dance Collective at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater's Next Stage Artist Residency.  Much MoreThan Bones is a rhythmically driven, contemporary dance work created to display the busy and strenuous toll time demands from each individual's physical being before the inevitable decomposition of body and mind due to illness, injury and time. A 10-minute excerpt of this work was presented during the White Wave 2011 Dumbo Dance Festival at the John Ryan Theater: Brooklyn, NY.
